I would have titled this as its location, but I can't really. haha. This reference was put together from several photographs of Scotland and Cheju island Korea.
This was the biggest painting I've done yet. I wish I had the measurements with me haha. I think it was around 3x4 feet. Probably a bit less than that actually. I'm guesstimating.
I used alot of palette knife on this one. It was loads of fun.
Thanks for looking!
well you know I think all your jobs are awesome so it's not much use repeating that every time, you have to be a critique of art to judge with subjective criteria because to the eye, all your works are fantastic.
Oh man, that is so cool! The amount of color in this and how you handled it makes my brain explode. It's delicious. XD And with a really engaging landscape, to boot! I don't think I've ever used a palette knife before - how do you like it compared to the brush?
well you mix colors in a similar way but it's hard to make them muddy. It's a tiny bit harder to mix less rich colors for like shadows and stuff. I love palette knife. it's like frosting a cake.
thanks!
It has been a long time since I"ve seen a painting of a landscape that I liked enough to ....and today broke that streak. I love the way you have used the technique...yet it still seems so personal...so you......anyways...Well done!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Wait. That's Scotland AND Korea?
That explains a bit.
Nevertheless, it's a cool landscape. Has a touch of surreality to it.
